hey SH - i lived in gibraltar for a couple of months last summer.. and i met someone that reminded me of you.... :P
interestingly enough.. when i compared your dna to his.. i found that they were more than 96% identical! go figure...
(btw. i did actually take this photo in gib. these furry creatures are native to the mountain... behind him, you can see the strait of gibraltar... and one day, i'll post a picture that is aimed to the left of harry over here, and you can see morocco!)
so the question of the day for you folks....
what IS the difference between a person like salty hank, and a monkey like harry? obviously humans and monkeys are different... yet our dna is so similar....

a smiley does not always make it better, mr. hank. also.... insects?! peaceful coexistence? interesting... and i like what you said about them being happier because they have smaller brains... i find that to be a fascinating statement. are you saying that because we have so much knowledge (relatively speaking) we cannot be happy? and are you saying that these monkeys can experience emotion?
also, the genocide of these apes in question is being advocated by the tourism that they bring. i think we should promote the extermination of tourists! (i.e. don't let ppl go walking through a mountain flashing cameras and driving their SUV's)
in addition.... salty hank.. i'd like to remind YOU that the monkey that traumatized jonathon was none other than YOU!
quelle scandale!
no but really, the question at hand is: what makes humans different than animals?
from the above statement, SH, i'd take it that you think that there isn't much difference at all.. and if there is, it's the monkeys that are more highly evolved than us humans, yes?
actually, i'm not a biologist. i'm a biochemist-in-training, and i'm damned proud of it! :P
Actually, contrary to popular belief, I approve of macaques. Also, keeping with popular belief, salty Hank, like most other captive macaques, has the Herpes-B virus. Not to be with confused with the 'Pan troglodytes', or common chimpanzee(which is scheduled for extermination by June 2015), the macaques are noble creatures who express the ideal virtues of submission, happiness without ambition, are family-oriented and possess a general inability to have elevated thoughts of overthrowing my regime. All populations of my empire will look to the macaque for inspiration. But don;t worry, apparently I can make you feel better about this with simple emoticons designed to placify you. :)
ooooh... if i had any brains left i'd write something decent... hahaah, oh the macaques! they tried to kill us when we went to go visit them...
Unfortunetly for you, (out damn spot!)you don't have a chance with my mom or sister in the human OR simian worlds. (To be or not to be?)You might as well find the winning lottery ticket for 14 (et tu, brutus) million dollars mysteriously appearing in your navel, cause(Romeo, romeo what are thou romeo?) the probability is higher.(grappel them to your soul with hoops of steel). So there! (Demand me nothing, from this time forth ne'er shall I speak word!) Gentic purity will outlast!!!! (demand this demi-devil why he has thus ensnared by body and soul.)
